In these centres we provide care and support to persons in their last phases of incurable disease, making sure that their lives remain as meaningful and comfortable as possible.
At any one time we care for approximately 350 patients, most of whom are in the final stages of any life threatening illness. We have a holistic approach and therefore have the added concern of taking care of the children of these families, some of whom are also diagnosed with the same disease. Many of these children are orphaned at an early age and stay under the care of grandparents and relatives, who are mostly unemployed. These children need to be fed, educated and entertained.

Funds permitting, Hospice distributes food to these children and tries to give them education, love and support. No patients are shown away because of their inability to pay. Services are free of charge. Patients are normally referred to us via their Doctor or hospital.
Our integrated program of home and community based care is becoming more and more essential to the well-being of the Goldfields and surrounding areas. Hospice works closely with other charities, churches, schools and communities to achieve these goals and objectives.
